As the body of Christ, we covenant with God and with each other to affirm our unity in Jesus Christ and share Christ’s ministry with others as the Holy Spirit leads us.

Grandview Park Presbyterian Church was organized as a neighborhood church in 1889 in Kansas City, Kansas. The years have brought many changes to our neighborhood and church. In the mid-1990’s the neighborhood became home to a large number of Spanish-speaking immigrants from Mexico and Central and South America. As a result Grandview Park is now a bi-lingual congregation with a wide variety of family members from many different countries. We are united in our faith in Jesus as our Lord and Savior. We are Juntos en Cristo. Our Sunday schedule includes Sunday School at 10 am, Bi-Lingual Worship at 11 am, and a fellowship lunch after worship at approximately 12:30 pm. We offer a weekly Spanish-speaking prayer service on Wednesday evenings in family homes at 7 pm. Our English-speaking prayer service happens in family homes on every other Thursday at 7 pm. Our outreach ministries include our four-week Summer Kid’s Club and Day Camp which provides enrichment for 60-100 neighborhood children and youths. During the school year we offer Tutor the Computer every Wednesday evening when the KCK School District is in session. This is a tutoring program for children and youth. Volunteers are needed and welcomed. Our youth ministry meets on Tuesdat nights from 6:30-8:30 pm and is led by Jennifer Spears. Our women’s ministry meets monthly. In addition to these programs the church is an active partner and advocate for hospitality and justice for immigrants. We are a founding congregation in the New Sanctuary Movement of Greater Kansas City.

Our vision statement, adopted in 1996 reads
“We seek to serve as a community of faith, spiritually connected to the community around us,
reflecting the diversity of neighborhood in a church that is full!”
